Renee Pryor currently serves as the Evaluation Supervisor for the Lincoln County Department of Education, overseeing the Fine Arts program as well. With six years in this role, Mrs. Pryor brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her position.
Renee graduated from Cascade High School in Wartrace, Tennessee, in 1983 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Science and Secondary Education from Middle Tennessee State University in 1988. She began her career at Lincoln County High School in 1988 as the Occupational Foods and Nutrition, Clothing, and Child Care teacher. In 1990, she returned to MTSU to obtain an Elementary 1-8 Endorsement. In 1992, Renee assumed the role of Family and Consumer Science teacher at Lincoln County, where she taught for six years.
Following the birth of her children, Renee joined Cascade Elementary School in Wartrace as the Reading Specialist in 1997, a position she held for 11 years. She earned her Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Technological University in 2006. Renee transitioned to Assistant Principal at Cascade Elementary in 2008, serving for three years.
In 2011, Renee enthusiastically returned to Lincoln County as the evaluation specialist, supporting teachers and administrators in understanding the new TEAM Evaluation system and promoting best teaching practices. Her role expanded with the TIF grant in 2013, focusing on TIF implementation, data management, and program support alongside Joel Hastings.
While Renee considers her family her greatest achievement, she is immensely proud of her teaching career in Bedford and Lincoln counties. She cherishes her role in supporting classroom teachers at Cascade Elementary School and currently in Lincoln County, a place she affectionately calls “God’s Country.”
A native of Bedford County, Renee resides in Wartrace, Tennessee, on her family’s farm with her husband, Raymond, Director of Technology at The Webb School in Bell Buckle. They have two grown children, Ryan and Anna Catherine. Renee enjoys spending time with her family, tending to her flower garden and landscaping, hosting gatherings at her home, and vacationing at the beach.
