Lincoln County Schools is proud to announce that the supervisor of the year is Linda Tallman. Ms. Tallman serves as the Supervisor of Personnel, Attendance and County Athletic Director.
Ms. Tallman has lived and worked in Fayetteville and Lincoln County her entire life. She attended Fayetteville City Schools in grades 1-9, and then Lincoln County Central High School in grades 10-12. She graduated in 1972 and attended Middle Tennessee State University where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in 1977. She then received a Master’s in Education degree from Tennessee State University in 1999. Ms. Tallman has 42 years of experience and has worked with students in grades 1 through 12.. Ms. Tallman taught at Taft School, Blanche School, Flintville Jr. High, and Central Jr. High. She has taught in both regular and special education classrooms. The majority of her classroom experience was in 7th- 9th grade physical education at Central Junior High School
When Lincoln County changed to K-8 elementary buildings, Ms. Tallman began working with students at-risk of dropping out at Lincoln County High School and the Ninth Grade Academy. In December of 2008, she transferred to the Supervisor of Personnel and Attendance position with the Lincoln County Department of Education. She has continued to enjoy working with students, parents, faculty, staff and the community through her current position. Ms. Tallman enjoys spending time with her family, which includes a son, daughter, daughter-in-law, son-in-law and especially her three grandchildren.
Ms. Tallman will now go on to compete for supervisor of the year for our South Central Region. If she is selected as the regional winner, she will then advance for consideration for supervisor of the year at the state level.
