Lincoln County Schools has officially opened its doors to applications for teaching positions for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. Opportunities are available across Elementary, Middle, and High School levels, encompassing disciplines such as Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Foreign Language, Social Studies, and positions for a school psychologist.
Highlighting the national and statewide teacher shortage issue, Dr. John Fanning, Assistant Director of Schools, emphasized that Lincoln County is not exempt from this challenge. In response, the school district is proactively addressing the shortage by organizing a job fair earlier this year to attract potential educators for the upcoming academic term.
Scheduled for March 28th from 2 to 4:30 PM at Lincoln Central Academy, the job fair promises onsite interviews with principals during this event. Importantly, the event is not exclusively for teaching roles but extends to individuals interested in various roles within the school system, including educational assistants, custodians, school bus drivers, cafeteria workers, and more.
For those aspiring to secure a teaching position, the district encourages visiting the website www.lcdoe.org to complete a Professional Application. Alternatively, applicants can forward their resumes to resume@lcdoe.org. Those with inquiries or seeking additional information can reach out to Linda Tallman, Supervisor of Personnel, at the central office.
For those seeking a support staff position, they would need to complete the Support Application.
