Important Update on Recent Social Media Discussions
In light of today being September 11th, we want to address and clarify any confusion that may be circulating on social media regarding schools or school districts being mentioned as potential targets. One specific mention references Lincoln County.
After thorough research, we have determined that this reference pertains to "Target Assisted Title I Schools," which is an academic designation and not a list indicating any threats of violence. It is important to clarify that the Lincoln County School system being referenced is located in Georgia, not Lincoln County, Tennessee.
Additionally, we are aware of a security incident that occurred on Tuesday involving a school in North Alabama.
At this time, we want to assure you that there are no threats against any schools in Lincoln County, Tennessee. The safety of our students and staff is our utmost priority. We are diligently following safety protocols on a daily basis and work closely with local law enforcement to maintain a secure environment.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
