Dyron Birdwell has been named as the new Head Coach of the Lincoln County Falcons Boy's Basketball team. Prior to coming to Lincoln County, Coach Birdwell was the Head Coach of the Oakland Patriots and Siegel Stars. During that time Coach Birdwell posted a record of 150-122 including a 59-37 record in district play. Coach Birdwell's teams have won 2 regular season District Championships, 3 District Tournament Runners-Up, 1 Region Runner-Up, 1 Region Championship, 2 Sectional Appearances, and a trip to the State Tournament in 2021. 

Prior to being a Head Coach, Birdwell was an Assistant Varsity and Head Freshman Coach at Oak Ridge High School under legendary coach Aaron Green. Oak Ridge won 4 District Tournament titles, 2 Region Championships, and back-to-back-to-back state tournament appearances (State Runner-Up in 2014) during this time.

Coach Birdwell's coaching career started as a student manager at the University of Tennessee under now Auburn HC Bruce Pearl.

Originally from Lafayette, TN, Dyron has been married to his high school sweetheart, Kara, for 10 years. The couple has one child, a 4-year-old daughter named Jayla.

Coach Birdwell will be hosting a community, parent, and player meet and greet on Tuesday, April 15 at 5:00 in the Lincoln County High School gym.
